Tour de France Cyclist Punches Fan in the Face
Despite my anger and disdain for hipster cyclists on the road when I am trying to drive to the airport (seriously dudes? I know you ride a fixed gear but that doesn’t make you exempt from stop signs, douche bags), I am fully aware that professional cyclists are some of the toughest, most athletic human beings on the planet. I mean, for crying out loud- Lance Armstrong had metastatic testicular cancer and managed to win the Tour de France – a 2,200 mile bike ride over the span of three weeks- SEVEN TIMES. That is BAD. ASS.
So that makes this photo and video even more awesome. According to sources, Alberto Contador, 3-time winner of the Tour de France, was on his way up a hill (a hill on a bike! UGH!) when he was dollowed and harassed by a guy in a doctor’s outfit, who is believed to have been making comments into Contador’s ear about his alleged doping last year. The man, who is seen following Contador directly by his side, up the hill for several moments, must have gotten under the cyclist’s skin, because he is seen taking a jab directly at the man’s face.
Check out the video below and give Alberto a virtual high five, because the scoreboard sits at Bad Ass Mofos: 1, Obnoxious Losers: 0.
