It’s been a strange two years – nearly every aspect of our lives has been affected by a pandemic, political upheaval and civil unrest. So it makes sense that peoples’ dating habits are changing as well. According to HelloGiggles, women in particular are dating differently than they did pre-2020.

According to a report that surveyed 5,000 [singles] in 2020, said that its daters have become more truthful and transparent about who they are and what they’re going through, as well as they are more firm when it comes to setting personal boundaries. 

[It also] said that its users are more willing to “see where things go” in an uncertain, ever-shifting world, so perhaps we may see a rise in casual dating and hookups. And after a harrowing year where everyone dealt with a great deal of loss, some people may not want to focus on romantic relationships at all, instead, opting to grow as individuals before they can pursue a life with someone else.  

Well, as a casual dating mecca, we’re happy to hear that singles are more open to exploring, hooking up, and having fun without feeling the need to promise “forever”!
