Singles are Abstaining… for their Mental Health?!

It’s a new year – a time to meet new people, try new ideas for fun dates, geting creative in the bedroom, and… celibacy? Say WHAT? It’s true:  for some, the new years means abstaining from any and all sexual pleasure. WE ARE NOT IN FAVOR. Via Daily Mail:

Over half of people on dating apps are considering abstinence from both sex and masturbation, a survey suggests.

[In the study,] 59% of the 2,000 adults surveyed said they were trying or considering complete celibacy in 2025.

When asked why, the majority said they wanted to instead focus on self-improvement while one in three said they thought avoiding sex and self-pleasure would improve their mental health.

Ok, WE FOR ONE disagree with the idea that no sex would help our mental health — far from it, because sex has been shown to IMPROVE mental health. And while self-improvement is always a plus – it’s SO possible without giving up one of life’s great gifts: sex.

If you’re thinking you need a boost, may we suggest getting laid MORE, by joining OBC Dating? We think you’ll hav a higher success rate than if you (ugh) give up sex altogether. YUCK!
