“Trying too hard to impress,” says Connell Barrett, a dating coach and the founder of Dating Transformation. “It can come across as needy.”

We actually totally agree! Being yourself (sure, the best version of yourself, but still YOU) is the way to really connect with someone you’re interested in. So, before you try and throw out the fact that you can benchpress 350, or that you NEVEr drive anythink cheaper than a Porsche, remember – it probably doesn’t impress, it’s actually a huge turn off!
