The Miami Heat Are Disappointing
It seems like just yesterday that LeBron James was holding his own hour-long press conference, and Cleveland folk were sobbing and pleading for him to stay while New York citizens offered up free blow jobs for life if he joined the Knicks and Miami was like, “we got Bosh and Wade, so, whatevs.” And when the Master of All that is Basketball uttered his fateful decision, the world was in shock. Three incredible players on one team? Is this a joke? Are they making the new Harlem Globetrotters? Are we in an episode of Scooby Doo???
Fast forward to today and it’s suddenly a childhood reading of The Tortoise and the Hare, except in this case the hare is a built-up, too-cocky basketball team who have a hilariously disappointing 5 – 4 record. In last nights SECOND loss to the Celtics, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were a combined 0-for-10 on threes, and when talking to the Miami Herald, Wade was quoted saying, “We’re the best 5-4 team in the league. How about that?” Awkwaaaaaard.
The upside is that this stunning(ly bad) performance by the Heat has actually made the early part of the NBA season watchable. Usually I don’t start paying attention until week 30 or so because UGH SO MANY WEEKS.
Hey, Heat, live up to your hype, why don’tcha? Or don’t because that would be the best joke ever.

Don’t get me wrong, I was not a fan of all the publicity (which was created by the media, by the way) however, it’s only the first 9 games. There are about 79 left, so don’t jump the gun too quickly.
I never expected this team to win a championship this year, like most experts will tell you, but do not be so quick to count them out either. Once they gel, they’re going to be a formidable opponent for anyone.
I could care less about how they do this year, I’m too worried about the Pistons!

I think you are completely right with this one. We are witnessing a bufoonery. All thos Mike commercials about us witnessing greatness were a shamockery of greatness. Michael passed the torch to Kobe not Lebron. Lebron never got to play against the great one. Since MJ is so competitive, I’m sure he would have stayed in one more year to play this self proclaimed great one called lebron ,since he retired in 2002 and lebron came in 2003. He obviously didn’t catch MJ’s attention that much.
