New York followed closely behind, proving once again that chaos, bagels, and possibility are a powerful mix. Texas and Illinois rounded out the top tier, bringing big cities, strong social scenes, and plenty of chances to meet someone new.

Now for the tough love portion of the list.

West Virginia came in dead last, with fewer dating opportunities and less nightlife compared to the rest of the country. Wyoming, Arkansas, and North Dakota weren’t exactly thriving either. But before you panic or consider relocating solely for romance, remember this: rankings don’t determine chemistry.
