I never thought I’d say someone was taking recycling too far, but leave it to a so-called artist to push the envelope into gross-town. Conceptual artist Cherry Tree (aka Charity Blansit, but apparently that wasn’t hippie enough) has decided to start an “art project” that will turn her own urine into a perfume. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“I am very much into recycling,” Tree says, according to AOL Weird News<\/a>. “And urine is something I’ve thought needs to be recycled, since it’s something that gets eliminated.” Assuming we didn’t lose you at “Urine Perfume,” right there is where you should close your laptop and call it a day because the key word here is “eliminated.” If it gets eliminated <\/em>and doesn’t leave a mark on the earth,<\/em> why would it need to be recycled? Exactly – it doesn’t.<\/p>\n

She went on to sound even more insane:<\/p>\n

“It was the first morning after a full moon,” she said. “And I decided to collect my urine in a perfume bottle.”<\/p>\n

At first, Tree’s concept was only to collect urine after each full moon.<\/p>\n

“I was fascinated by how the smell changes depending on what you eat,” she said. “For instance, it smells really good after you eat a lot of honey and it smells terrible after eating chicken.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

FASCINATED? FASCINATED? <\/em><\/strong>Okay guys, if you ever catch me hovering face-first over the toilet bowl, wafting the scent towards me and whispering “fascinating,” please knock me out with a club and take me home and put me to bed because I am very, very sick.<\/p>\n
