Remember a couple years ago when the New Jersey government came forward and said<\/a> “do not let the cast of The Jersey Shore <\/em>skew your opinion of this state. We are not all drunk, orange-tinged asshats with no self-respect.” Well, I felt kind of bad for them, although I found it interesting that they didn’t also add “Real Housewives of New Jersey” in that sentence because those bitches are just as bad.<\/p>\n

But then I learned today that New Jersey has passed a new law that makes it easier to get married in Atlantic City, AKA The Dirtier Vegas of the East.<\/p>\n

According to The Wall Street Journal:<\/a><\/p>\n

Passed by both houses of the New Jersey Legislature on Monday, the bill would eliminate a mandatory 72-hour waiting period for a marriage or civil-union license, and increase the fee to $60 from $28.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Cool, New Jersey. Very classy of you, to allow drunk couples to get married and then immediately divorced as long as they pay you enough for a seafood buffet. I totally see why you’d want to distance yourself from a reality show about the exact type of people that would do that.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n
