A show that convinces 20-something princesses that they will find their Prince Charming, and simultaneously reminds cynical folk that love is dead and getting raped in the grave by the American Broadcasting Company. <\/p>\n<p>If you didn&#8217;t think that The Bachelor was 90% bullsh*t, 10% gauzy camera filters, you should now, because according to <a href=\"http:\/\/gawker.com\/5907700\/bachelor-host-chris-harrison-announces-split-from-wife-of-18-years\">Gawker<\/a>, host Chris Harrison and his wife of 18 years are getting d-i-v-o-r-c-e-d. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Though we have made this incredibly difficult decision to separate, our love and mutual respect remain,&#8221; the couple said in a joint statement, &#8220;and we look forward to sharing in the lives of our wonderful children.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but I am just SHOCKED. A man who devoted much of his adult life to bringing together men and women (I guess I should say one man and dozens of women all vying for his <strike>money<\/strike> love) in holy matrimony is getting divorced?!? That&#8217;s like saying that couples that meet on a scripted reality show and are filmed throughout the entirety of their courtship are going to get divorced!
