\nIt’s official – our lord and savior Shawn Carter aka H.O.V.A aka Jay-Z has proclaimed that he supports gay marriage, so all you remaining folks who still weren’t sure about your position on the matter can finally rest your case. After Barack Obama’s recent announcement that he is in favor of legalizing gay marriage<\/a>, many celebrities and figureheads have shown their support for the POTUS, and Jay-Z, king of hip hop himself, is the most recent to show solidarity with Team Equality.<\/p>\n

He said to CNN:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always thought it as something that was still holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That\u2019s their business. It’s no different than discriminating against blacks. It\u2019s discrimination plain and simple…I think it’s the right thing to do, so whether it costs him votes or not – again, it’s not about votes. It’s about people. It’s the right thing to do as a human being.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
