According to People Magazine<\/a>, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are divorcing after 5 years of marriage. Her attorney announced the split, saying “this is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”<\/p>\n

Normally, celebrity divorces don’t really affect me. It’s like “welp, another one bites the dust, huh?” for the most of ’em, like this one<\/a> and this one<\/a> and DEFINITELY this one<\/a>. BUT THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT. For some reason, I am really, really, really<\/i> interested to know what sparked this. Was is Tom’s creepy Scientology obsession? Was it the age difference? Was it the fact that he’s like, 3 inches shorter than her? Was is the fact that at almost 50 years old he kind of looks like he’s made of silly putty? <\/p>\n

I’m going to be following this story carefully. “Daughter’s best interest” makes me feel like there is something WEIRD goin’ on. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS! What do you think?<\/p>\n\n
