Despite Suns president Lon Babby calling his departure “excruciating,”<\/a> the move will give the Suns “four draft picks — first rounders in 2013 and 2015 and second rounders in 2013 and 2014.”<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Nash will receive a reported $27 million for the move, and says he was ultimately swayed to go to the Lakers (the Knicks were also vying for him) by a “determined push from [Kobe] Bryant,” and the fact that he would be closer to his children, who will remain in Phoenix.<\/p>\n

We look forward to seeing what Nash, Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Andrew Bynum will do together this season. Has there ever been a undefeated NBA team? This could be a first!<\/p>\n\n
