In 2013, it’s not unusual to be separated, divorced, or even never-actually-together with the mother or father of your little one(s). It’s unfortunate, of course, if the relationship ended sourly, but it’s absolutely possible to raise children solo or with separate households and have them turn out perfectly okay (exhibit A: ME!). However, the question of dating while a single parent can be a bit tricky. Some people just aren’t interested in getting to know someone who’s already got munchkins, often because they think you might be searching for a potential parental candidate. <\/p>\n
Of course, there are dating sites specifically for people who ARE looking for that – and they do the job just great… but what about for those of you who have kids but are just lookin’ for some fun, casual dating and booty calls? Can you find what you’re looking for on OBC? Of COURSE! We suggest to be honest, open, and stalwart in your decision to date as a single parent. Always make sure your son or daughter remains your #1 priority, and NEVER let your booty calls or dates get in the way of being a good parent. On the other hand, though, if you’re dating someone who isn’t<\/i> into kids (and has no plans of being in the near future), don’t pressure them into meeting your little ones. Plus – bringing several different people around your kids could be very confusing for them… let them learn about booty calls later in life ;). And of course, be SAFE, 100% of the time. If not for you, for your babies.<\/p>\n
Interestingly enough, this week we have two testimonials from single moms who met guys on OBC… and what was once a booty call became a long term relationship! As always, it’s a reminder – life doesn’t always go as planned – but in the end, things have a way of working themselves out just fine!<\/p>\n
