<\/center><\/p>\nI always think it’s rude when people judge others’ musical tastes. Whether you love country, hip-hop, pop, electronic, rock, folk, or acoustic jams, there is no reason to believe that any one is any more enjoyable than the other. That’s the DEFINITION of taste. And the ability to make music that appeals to human senses is a talent, even if you<\/i> personally find it utterly repulsive<\/a> and unbearable to witness<\/a>. <\/p>\n So when Jared Leto claimed this week that a fan of his band, 30 Seconds to Mars<\/i>, once sent him a severed ear, I thought it was a bit presumptuous for people to call him a “liar” because they didn’t think his music was good enough to garner such a passionately CRAZY response. Maybe there are people out there that REALLY REALLY LIKE Jared Leto’s moan-screamy voice, who are you to say otherwise? I mean, there are at least a MILLION people<\/a> that care enough to follow them on Twitter, and I could see at least ONE of those people being bat-shit nuts enough to perform unsterilized surgery on themselves to prove their fandom.<\/p>\n HERE’S MY<\/i> PROBLEM WITH THE WHOLE THING:<\/p>\n WHYYYYY would a person who loves your music so, so, much, who is so touched by each tone, each lyric, each strum of the guitar and each whiny scream<\/a> want to mutilate themselves so they couldn’t hear your music anymore? Doesn’t it make more sense that this “fan” would actually be a person who so despises your music that they would rather chop their hearing organs off than even risk the POSSIBILITY of hearing your music again? <\/p>\n I dunno, I just think it makes more sense that way.<\/p>\n And also, that picture up there is so obviously a prop ear it’s not even funny. Nice try, Leto, but I think your eye-liner is seeping into your optic nerve and destroying your critical thinking skills. No judgements or anything.<\/p>\n
