However, a new book claims that in real life, men ARE faking orgasms, and for the same reason the ladies do: “because they want their partners to feel good about the encounter.” In his book, “Why Men Fake It: The Totally Unexpected Truth About Men And Sex,” Abraham Morgentaler discusses the rather taboo subject and looks to try and find a reason we accept women feigning sexual pleasure, but completely ignore the fact that men do. <\/p>\n
He believes it has a lot to do with the shifting of gender roles in the past 50 years. Whereas men used to be the breadwinner and thus women were expected to do their “wifely duty” in bed, the equalizing of societal worth means that both parties are now expected to “deliver” between the sheets. This pressure on men makes them more likely to suffer erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, or in this case – faking orgasm all together. <\/p>\n
