<\/center><\/p>\nAfter last week’s exciting 100 Weeks of TestiMOANials<\/b> celebration, today is just kind of blah<\/i>. Like the first Monday after a long vacation, or the day after your birthday. It’s like everything pales in comparison. However, we thought we’d continue the theme of LEARNING from the testimonials of people who were successful on OBC. Sometimes when you start online dating, it’s like diving headfirst into dark water. You’re excited but also terrified because you have NO IDEA what to expect. But we’ve been operating, using, and learning about successful members for ten years now (BTW – HAVE YOU LOGGED IN TODAY<\/a>?), and think we’ve got some pretty good intel on how to enjoy your time on dating sites.<\/p>\n This week, we’re looking at a recent testimonial that we thought was a little… um, ODD. It’s from someone who met someone they’re digging on OBC, but it’s also a little strange the things they noted in the testimonial. We give our suggestions and advice to anyone who might be in the same situation.<\/p>\n “I met this cute guy name Brian who gets under my skin a lot but deep down I think he’s pretty amazing… he smells super nice :o) and he’s not bald. I don’t expect him to delete his account but if he does even better. Hmm… interesting? Let’s pick this testiMOANial apart, shall we? Maybe lead off with something positive, and this is in online communication too – try to keep your words positive and good things will come!<\/b><\/p>\n …deep down I think he’s pretty amazing.<\/i><\/p>\n Well good! We do think it’s important to look past peoples’ exteriors and see what’s behind the facade. Sometimes people put up walls, that doesn’t mean there’s someone kind, caring, and maybe scandalously kinky behind them!<\/b><\/p>\n he smells super nice :o) and he’s not bald<\/i><\/p>\n Uh… what? We’re glad she met someone physically (and olfactor-ily) attractive to her, but still – we’d say it would be smarter and more respectful to say “he’s got a great head of hair!” This is another time when being positive instead of talking about flaws is a good start to a relationship. We’d imagine this girl would rather hear “you have such a great body” instead of “good thing you’re not a fat ass.”<\/b><\/p>\n I don’t expect him to delete his account but if he does even better.<\/i><\/p>\n A+ all the way girl! We love that she would LIKE if he deleted his account like she did, but that she’s open for whatever. It shows she’s not jealous, knows that casual dating is just that – casual – and that she’s laid back and doesn’t have steep expectations.
