{"id":20663,"date":"2014-04-15T10:03:23","date_gmt":"2014-04-15T17:03:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onlinebootycall.com\/blog\/?p=20663"},"modified":"2014-04-15T10:03:23","modified_gmt":"2014-04-15T17:03:23","slug":"pharrell-killed-it-at-coachella-outkast-was-meh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onlinebootycall.com\/blog\/pharrell-killed-it-at-coachella-outkast-was-meh\/","title":{"rendered":"Pharrell Killed it at Coachella, Outkast was MEH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re back from a weekend of music, parties, and HOLY GOD, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.utsandiego.com\/news\/2014\/Apr\/12\/coachella-2014-duststorm\/\" target=\"_blank\">DUST AND DIRT, DUST AND DIRT EVERYWHERE, <\/a>and although we&#8217;re suffering from extreme post-Chella sickness, we thought we&#8217;d share our favorite set of the weekend, from producer\/performer\/large-hat wearer Pharrell Williams, who brought out more special guests than we could have possibly imagined. Check out the full set, featuring Busta Rhymes, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and MORE!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/undefined\" height=\"390\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fantastic. The crowd for the evening show was dancing, screaming, and singing their hearts out for the full set, and we just flat out loved it. Slightly LESS loved? The much-anticipated OutKast reunion.<\/p>\n<p>Though their rapping sounded just as perfect as it did a decade ago, their choices for songs and guests left a lot to be desired. Even though I&#8217;m a HUGE Janelle Monae fan, most of the crowd didn&#8217;t have any clue who she was, and Future used his 3-song interruption to hawk his new album. Barf. The highlight of the show was the last 12 minutes, when they finally busted into a medley of their popular hits from Speakerboxxx\/The Love Below, when the crowd went understandably WILD. The show ended awkwardly, with the duo saying they couldn&#8217;t afford the fine if they went over their allotted time slot.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/undefined\" height=\"390\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While many die-hard OutKast fans claim the show was perfection &#8211; made for dedicated fans and not just those who heard their hits on the radio, most reviewers agreed that the show was lacking the energy and crowd-connection that we loved early with Pharrell and other performances.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>So that&#8217;s our best and worst Coachella run-down.
