Well, if the latter seems likely, you might want to reconsider and get yourself away from the computer. According to research by a Manchester psychologist, watching too much pornography could lead to premature erectile dysfunction in otherwise healthy young men!<\/p>\n

Porn-induced erectile dysfunction (PIED) is a relatively new sexual issue affecting a generation of men who have grown up with unlimited access to explicit material.<\/p>\n

Having unrestricted access to the maximum stimulus that pornography provides can lead to a number of sexual dysfunctions, according to psychosexual therapist Janet Eccles.<\/p>\n

\u201cSex with a long-term partner might suffer because the porn user just isn\u2019t excited enough anymore,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat gets lost here is the idea of one\u2019s sexuality being for oneself and one\u2019s chosen partner.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While we’re totally pro-casual hook ups and #teamSINGLE, we think we get what Dr. Eccles is getting at. Too much porn could make you feel like you’re in a sexual relationship with your hand and whatever raunchy shit you can pull up on a laptop screen, instead of pursuing exciting and challenging real-life scenarios. When you can find any and all fantasies you could dream up with the click of a button, seeking out actual sexual relationships could fall to the back burner. NO BUENO, GUYS. We especially don’t like the quote from a PIED-suffer, who says “My porn and masturbation habits had ground my \u2018poor little man\u2019 into a desensitized, permanently flaccid, useless addition to my body that simply didn’t want or fancy real female attention.”<\/p>\n

Let’s all make a vow to disconnect this long weekend and concentrate on the real world – friends, fun, and f*cking. Although we of course don’t count it if you wanna find someone on OBC… that’s totally the exception ;)<\/p>\n\n
