Think again &#8211; apparently guys have been taking to TikTok to dip their testicles in soy sauce after one user claimed that men could &#8220;taste&#8221; things with their balls. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/testicles-in-soy-sauce-taste-buds_l_5e2b24d7c5b67d8874b12fa4\">No. Joke.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"cli cli-text\">\n<p>lt started innocently enough. Late last week,\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@cryinginthecar\/video\/6781844436067290373?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-ylk=\"subsec:paragraph;itc:0;cpos:1;pos:1;elm:context_link\" data-rapid_p=\"1\" data-v9y=\"1\">TikTok user cryinginthecar<\/a>\u00a0logged onto the popular video app and shared an eyebrow-raising scientific finding with her followers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cli cli-text\">\n<p>\u201cDid y\u2019all know that if a dude puts his balls in something, he can taste it? Appearing to do a quick dab while parked in his car, James claimed that he had indeed tasted something.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cli cli-embed cli-embed--full-width js-no-inject\">\n<div class=\"cli-embed__embed-wrapper\">\n<div>\u201cStop. Hold on now, oh my God, I can taste the salt!\u201d James shouted. \u201cThat\u2019s ridiculous.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>According to Science, though, this is just flat out false.<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div>\n<div class=\"cli cli-text\">\n<p>The actual study, which was published in the journal\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1093\/molehr\/gat009\" data-ylk=\"subsec:paragraph;itc:0;cpos:12;pos:1;elm:context_link\" data-rapid_p=\"4\" data-v9y=\"1\">Molecular Human Reproduction<\/a>\u00a0in 2013, found that male testes do indeed have taste\u00a0<em>receptors.\u00a0<\/em>These receptors canalso be found in the \u201cdigestive system, respiratory system, brain and spermatozoa.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cli cli-text\">\n<p>But taste receptors aren\u2019t the same thing as taste buds.
