As Coronavirus spreads like wildfire around the world, you may be wondering lots of things… should I go to the gym? The mall? The club? And especially, can I get Coronavirus from my booty call?<\/p>\n
While we can’t tell you whether to quarantine yourself or not, but maybe we can shed a little light on the question “can I get Coronavirus from sex?” I.e, is Coronavirus sexually transmitted?<\/p>\n

How about oral?<\/p>\n The short answer is that experts really don\u2019t know. \u201cWhat we know thus far is that COVID-19 is present in respiratory secretions,\u201d\u00a0Kristin Englund, MD<\/a>, of the department of infectious disease at the Cleveland Clinic, tells\u00a0Health<\/em>. Respiratory secretions include droplets that exit a person’s mouth from coughing or sneezing. Because these secretions from an infected person can carry the virus, some countries (like France) are discouraging people from greeting one another with a cheek kiss, reported\u00a0The Washington Post<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n But kissing a partner, of course, is far more intimate than a random peck on the cheek. While it makes sense that kissing someone infected with COVID-19 could leave you infected, \u201cat this point in time, we don\u2019t know these specific details,\u201d says Dr. Englund. What we do know is that the\u00a0Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>\u00a0(CDC) says that the virus can spread from \u201cclose contact\u201d with someone, with close contact generally defined as being within six feet of a person. If you\u2019re kissing or having sex, well, you\u2019re well within this limit…and potentially at risk if your partner carries the virus.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So we suppose the answer to “can you get Coronavirus from sex?” Is a very vague maybe.
