We can always count on Japan to bring the WTF news, pandemic or not! This time, it’s the opening of an “adult theme park” run by a porn company, Soft on Demand. Via VICE:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The place is geared to sell alcohol, food and adult videos, though their top-level pitch to audiences includes a chance for visitors to chat with porn performers. Reports in Japanese media speak about how the park\u2019s basement is staffed by the studio\u2019s newest performers, and where drinks are cheaper than the hostess bars in the red-light neighbourhood of Kabukicho where it\u2019s located.<\/p>

Elsewhere in the park, there are also \u201ccapsules\u201d for people to watch SOD content. The floors upstairs have bars where drinks will be served by “famous sexy SOD actresses<\/a>\u201d. There is also a Silent Bar, where a \u201csexy bartender in a swimsuit\u201d serves drinks without exchanging conversation. Previously, this company also opened\u00a0an adult video VR location<\/a>\u00a0in Tokyo.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The company claims it’s ensuring customers and employees stay safe from COVID by requiring mask use and using plastic partitions, so we’re interested to see how this goes. We may be planning to trip to Japan in the very near future (that is, whenever we’re allowed to travel again).<\/p>\n\n
