The star of such films as Dazed and Confused, Dallas Buyers Club, and True Detective is sharing all about his life in a new memoir, and decided to share a little deet about his father&#8217;s passing that you might not have known: James Donal McConaughey died doing the deed with his wife (Matthew&#8217;s mother), and that&#8217;s exactly how he&#8217;d always planned it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/2020\/10\/matthew-mcconaughey-father-death-sex-greenlights-memoir\">Via Vanity Fair:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>As part of his\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/parents\/matthew-mcconaughey-opens-up-about-raising-creative-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>People<\/em><\/a>\u00a0cover story, the actor also released an exclusive excerpt from his new book\u00a0<em>Greenlights,<\/em>\u00a0that hits shelves October 20, in which he reveals that his dad, James Donald McConaughey, died exactly how he always knew he would. \u201cI got a call from my Mom. \u2018Your dad died,\u2019\u201d McConaughey writes. \u201cMy knees buckled. I couldn\u2019t believe it. He was my dad. Nobody or nothing could kill him. Except for mom. He\u2019d always told me and my brothers, \u2018Boys, when I go, I\u2019m gonna be makin\u2019 love to your mother.\u2019 And that\u2019s what happened. <strong>He had a heart attack when he climaxed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Daaaaaaammmn.
