But now, as more Americans are getting vaccinated and Covid-19 safety restrictions are loosening, condom makers are no longer<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/friends-tv-phoebe-ALd5afHotakNi\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0having trouble getting their sales up<\/a>.<\/p><p>Male condom sales in the United States increased 23.4% to $37 million during the four weeks ending April 18 compared with the same stretch a year ago, according to the latest figures from IRI, a market research firm that tracks point-of-sale data at big box retailers,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/03\/04\/business\/grocery-stores-kroger-walmart\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">grocery stores<\/a>, drug stores and other retail channels.<\/p><p>That&#8217;s after a 4.4%\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/durex-condom-sales-slump-as-intimate-occasions-decline-2020-7\" target=\"_blank\">drop<\/a>\u00a0in all of 2020, according to IRI.Reckitt Benckiser\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/money.cnn.com\/quote\/quote.html?symb=RBGLY&amp;source=story_quote_link\">RBGLY<\/a>), the maker of Durex condoms, said Wednesday that Durex logged a double digit percentage sales increase during the company&#8217;s latest quarter compared with the same quarter last year.
