Legislators sent Gov. Gavin Newsom a bill on Tuesday adding the act to the state\u2019s civil definition of sexual battery. It makes it illegal to remove the condom without obtaining verbal consent.<\/p><p>But it doesn\u2019t change the criminal code. Instead, it would amend the civil code so that a victim could sue the perpetrator for damages, including punitive damages.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>While we&#8217;d never heard of &#8220;stealthing&#8221;, we&#8217;re sure glad to hear that victims of this creepy crime can now be held accountable.
