Via NY Times:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>A Los Angeles judge ruled Friday that conservatorship that has overseen Britney Spears\u2019s life and finances for more than 13 years should be terminated immediately.<\/p><p>The ruling by Judge Brenda Penny of Los Angeles Superior Court ended an arrangement that Ms. Spears had complained of bitterly, and which her fans had rallied against.<\/p><p>In June,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/06\/23\/arts\/music\/britney-spears-conservatorship-hearing.html\">Ms. Spears, 39, told the court<\/a>\u00a0that the arrangement, which stripped her of control in nearly every aspect of her life, had traumatized and exploited her. and asked for it to end without her having to undergo additional mental evaluations.<\/p><p>On Friday, Judge Penny agreed.<\/p><p>\u201cThe conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is no longer required,\u201d she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>If Britney can walk free after 13 years, then I think we can all get through this Monday! <\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-27113\" data-postid=\"27113\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-27113 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After 13 years under the thumb of her father, unable to control her own finances (which must total in the millions-billions, considering her dozens of hit songs, records, concerts and positions on reality tv shows), Britney Spears is a free woman.
