When it comes to sharing photos on your social media page, though, it might not be a big deal. In your online dating profile though, is it straight up LYING?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/think\/opinion\/online-dating-beauty-filter-trap-ncna1285338\">Via NBC:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Beauty filters are a scourge of online dating, [dating coach Eric] Resnick said. They\u2019re also very popular. Everyone uses them: women, men, 20-somethings who don\u2019t remember a world without Instagram and 50-year-olds who\u2019d prefer to hide signs of aging. Yet, Resnick advised his client to lose the edits, which visibly smudged the skin around her eyes, neck and mouth. \u201cIf you want to have a real connection, you don\u2019t lie,\u201d he told me.<\/p><p>On a practical level, that reasoning makes sense.
