According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/12\/04\/health\/what-is-breadcrumbing-meaning-wellness\/index.html\"> CNN,<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Breadcrumbing refers to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/07\/health\/gaslighting-meaning-examples-relationships-wellness\/index.html\">form of manipulation<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 whether intentional or not \u2014 involving one person \u201cfeigning interest and acting as though they feel sincerely interested and invested in a relationship with another person when they are not,\u201d said Dr. Monica Vermani, a Canada-based clinical psychologist and author of \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.book.adeeperwellness.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">A Deeper Wellness: Conquering Stress, Mood, Anxiety and Traumas<\/a>.\u201d<\/p><p>Stringing a person along keeps \u201csomeone from looking elsewhere for a more stable, reliable and real connection, and remain hopeful and focused on them,\u201d Vermani added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember, while online flirtation is fun and sexy, the point of online dating is to see if you feel a connection, and then close the deal by going on a date and seeing if you hit it off for real!  PS &#8211; if you just want to flirt online, there are chat rooms for that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you feel yourself getting &#8216;breadcrumbed&#8217;, it&#8217;s time for an ultimatum &#8211; tell the other person you&#8217;re not playing games, you&#8217;re looking for IRL fun.
