Via Buzzfeed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Virginity is not\u00a0<em>really<\/em>\u00a0a thing. <\/strong>Relying on someone&#8217;s hymen to determine whether or not they are considered a &#8220;virgin&#8221; is wildly misleading and, according to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gynandtonic\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Diane Horvath (MD, MPH)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Birth control pills are not the only form of birth control <\/strong>on the market. Dr. Horvath likes to think about birth control in three categories: things that you use at the time you have sex, things that you have to take every day\/week\/month, and things that work over the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Most experts seem to think that &#8220;cumming&#8221; \u2014 if you will \u2014 and squirting are two different things<\/strong>: squirting is the release of clear, watery fluid from the bladder through the urethra, sometimes up to 10 tablespoons. And vaginal ejaculation is thought to be from a structure called the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/skene-gland\" target=\"_blank\">Skene\u2019s gland<\/a>\u00a0which is located under the urethra<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STIs are often part of having sex,<\/strong> and they\u2019re nothing to be ashamed of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Painful sex is\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0normal. <\/strong>And according to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/feminapt.com\/about-us\/about-heather-jeffcoat\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Heather Jeffcoat<\/a>, pelvic floor physical therapist and author of the book,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B00K7IH67U?tag=buzz0f-20&amp;ascsubtag=6156256%2C20%2C31%2Cmobile_web%2C0%2C0%2C17896923\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Sex Without Pain<\/em><\/a>, sex is not supposed to hurt \u2014 ever!
