Oz explained that \u201cIt\u2019s not a big problem\u201d if the cousin is a second cousin or more distant. \u201cEvery family has genetic strengths and weaknesses,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd so the reason we naturally crave people who are not so like us is because you just mix the gene pool up a little bit.”<\/p>
But then he kept talking, and before long he was onto a creepy tangent about scent, sexual aversion and attraction, and families. \u201cYou know, that\u2019s why children, girls don\u2019t like their fathers\u2019 smell. Their pheromones will actually repel their daughters because they\u2019re not supposed to be together,\u201d Oz said, and well, he kept going and added: \u201cMy daughters hate my smell.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
