What do they they think about regular ol&#8217; in-person hookups and casual sex? Are they like non-OF users or are they total weirdos? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, one researcher set out to learn more about this interesting subset of humans:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psypost.org\/2022\/10\/new-study-explores-the-attitudes-and-characteristics-of-onlyfans-users-64036\">Vis PsyPost: <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The participants completed a demographic questionnaire along with an assessment of sexual attitudes in which they were asked the extent they agreed with statements related to\u00a0<em>permissiveness\u00a0<\/em>(\u201cCasual sex is acceptable\u201d and \u201cI would like to have sex with many partners\u201d),\u00a0<em>birth control<\/em>\u00a0(\u201cBirth control is part of responsible sexuality\u201d),\u00a0<em>communion<\/em>\u00a0(\u201cSex is the closest form of communication between two people\u201d and \u201cSex is a very important part of life\u201d), and\u00a0<em>instrumentality<\/em>\u00a0(\u201cSex is primarily a bodily function, like eating\u201d and \u201cSex is best when you let yourself go and focus on your own pleasure\u201d).<\/p><p>\u201cBased on the results of our study, OnlyFans users and nonusers endorsed similar sexual attitudes. <strong>I believe this finding is important because it directly challenges stigmatizing attitudes that portray SEM users as deviant, hypersexual, and sexually permissive. Ultimately, when it comes down to sexual attitudes, we are all more alike than different.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, that was a pretty boring result, but I guess good to know.
