Feeling broke, and unable to achieve &#8220;the American Dream&#8221; is really depressing. But if there&#8217;s one silver lining, it&#8217;s that young adults are putting off marriage and kids until they are both financially and emotionally ready. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/10\/18\/recession-fears-tank-gen-z-dating-and-plans-for-marriage-pets-kids.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/10\/18\/recession-fears-tank-gen-z-dating-and-plans-for-marriage-pets-kids.html\">Via CNBC:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/10\/12\/goldman-sachs-intern-survey-shows-gen-z-recession-fears-career-priorities.html\">86% of Gen Z interns think a recession is coming<\/a>, according to Goldman Sachs\u2019 2022 global internship survey of more than 2,470 interns over the summer, and many are working to recession-proof their future careers.<\/p><p>Some are reconsidering big life milestones, too: In 2021, 88% of Goldman Sachs interns said they expected to get married or establish a formal relationship in the next 10 years. Among the intern class of 2022, that expectation plummeted to just 45%.<\/p><p>Meanwhile, 60% of interns last year had expectations to get a pet and 57% believed they\u2019d have children in in the next decade.
