But according to a new study, one in 5 people admit to checking their phones during sex!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/m7bk9v\/checking-phone-during-sex-study\">Via VICE:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>New research indicates up to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sellcell.com\/blog\/phone-addiction-statistics-watch-out-your-phone-addiction-is-making-your-dating-sex-life-toxic\/\" target=\"_blank\">one in five people<\/a>\u00a0check their phone during sex.<\/p><p>\u201cPeople are now struggling to distinguish how to function without their smartphone in every aspect of their life \u2013 even in the bedroom,\u201d Sarah McConomy told the\u00a0<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/11\/01\/lifestyle\/phone-addiction-is-ruining-your-sex-life-tips-to-prevent-breakup\/\" target=\"_blank\">New York Post<\/a><\/em>. McConomy is the COO of SellCell and author of a study on the adverse effects phone fixation can have on relationships. \u201cPeople are willing to check their phones when having sex as they have lost the ability to switch off from their mobile phone,\u201d she explained. \u201cPeople check their phones around 100 times a day and have a deeper intimacy with their phones than with their partner.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay, what the actual F? How can you possibly be focused on pleasing your partner (or yourself) when you&#8217;re busy scrolling?
