That&#8217;s right &#8211; according to VICE, there are landlords out there enforcing &#8220;no sex&#8221; clauses in their tenants&#8217; leases!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/n7ema8\/no-sex-tenancy-clauses-landlords\">VICE<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Chris, 24, rents an attic room in London and shares a communal space with two other flatmates, siblings, who are also his live-in landlords. \u201cTheir parents frequently visit,\u201d he says, \u201cand about four months into living here, their mum overheard me having sex with my girlfriend and complained about it to them.\u201d His flatmates later slipped a note under his bedroom door, asking him to not have sex in the house, or host any overnight guests in general. \u201cI confronted them in our shared kitchen and they kind of went ape shit, telling me it\u2019s \u2018wrong\u2019 to have sex because it\u2019s \u2018their house\u2019, which I think says everything. Landlords don\u2019t look at tenants or lodgers like they actually deserve to be there.\u201d<\/p><p>Chris looked up his tenancy agreement straight away, assuming he\u2019d be able to argue his way out of it, but it turned out it was in there all along. \u201cThey\u2019d actually banned overnight guests,\u201d he says. \u201cThey didn\u2019t seem to have a problem with my girlfriend staying over until it was about sex, though.\u201d Chris is now adhering to these bizarre anti-sex rules as he doesn\u2019t have anywhere else to live.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a serious WTF in our book. Protip: moving into a new place?
