A little innuendo here, a subtle sexy look there – those of us Millennials and older learned the art of flirtation in our teens and older – before smart phones were ubiquitous. But according to a new study, Gen Zers don’t know how to do it. Via Business Insider:<\/a><\/p>

\u201cI think flirting is dying,\u201d said Sanjongco, who lives in Los Angeles. \u201cIf someone thinks you\u2019re cute, they just ask for your Instagram these days and then DM you or swipe up on your story to show they\u2019re interested.\u201d<\/p>

Like many Gen Zers, typically defined as those born between 1997 and 2012, Sanjongco believes finding love offline is difficult as more people\u00a0struggle to approach others<\/a>\u00a0in real life.\u00a0<\/p>

Recent research suggests that some Zoomers grapple\u00a0with social anxiety<\/a>\u00a0and avoid interacting with strangers. That has created a unique challenge for some Gen Zers who are seeking to find dates in person. \u201cOur generation has been so online that when it comes to talking to people, it\u2019s a bit scary,\u201d said Maxine Williams, 28, the founder of We Met IRL, a singles events group. \u201cThere\u2019s not that natural sense of like, just, \u2018Hey, how you doing?\u2019\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>
