There\u2019s a new viral video making the rounds where creator Chand Bhangal<\/a> lays out her theory on why so many women are staying single \u2014 and spoiler alert: it\u2019s not<\/em> because they \u201ccan\u2019t find a man.\u201d She says women are raised to be high-achieving perfectionists while men\u2026 aren\u2019t always held to the same standard. The result? A whole lot of women who\u2019d rather stay single than settle for less.<\/p>\n

Now, we\u2019re not sure we agree with every single point she makes \u2014 dating is messy, complicated, and everyone\u2019s story is different. But one thing we definitely<\/strong> do agree with? Staying single because you want<\/em> to, not because you have<\/em> to, is 100% valid.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the thing: being single isn\u2019t a \u201cwaiting room\u201d for real life. It is<\/em> real life. And it can be a pretty awesome chapter if you let it.<\/p>\n
