You know how sometimes something horrible happens, but for some reason your first response to it is just to giggle? Something in your brain gets tweaked and all of a sudden you're having a laughing fit about a dead family member? I think it has to do with our minds wanting to shield us from our nougatey center of pain by first coating it in a chocolatey layer of shock.
That's how I felt when I witnessed the video below. By all means, it is horrible example of human cruelty and our collective need for some compassion lessons, but at the same time...
