Oh this year’s Met Gala 2026 did not come to play. The theme “Fashion Is Art” basically gave celebrities permission to be either museum-worthy masterpieces… or chaotic Etsy projects with a glam team. And naturally, we’re here to celebrate the gowns that understood the assignment—and looked hot doing it.

Here’s your OBC-approved, mildly judgmental, extremely thirsty ranking of the top 5 sexiest gowns of the night:

1. Rihanna — The “I’m the Exhibit, Actually” Gown

Rihanna arriving late and immediately ending the conversation is now a time-honored tradition, like fireworks or men being wrong on the internet. This metallic, sculptural moment was giving “do not touch the art”… which obviously made everyone want to.

2. SZA — Soft, Sculpted, and Dangerously Pretty

SZA leaned into fluid, body-skimming elegance with just enough edge to keep it from going full fairy tale. The result? Ethereal but still very much aware she’s the hottest person in the room. It’s giving goddess… who texts back when she feels like it.

3. Kendall Jenner — The Naked Dress That Refuses to Retire

Yes, it’s sheer. Yes, we’ve seen variations. And yet—here we are. This version leaned into classical sculpture vibes, which is a fancy way of saying: it’s basically art, mom. Predictable? Maybe. Effective? Annoyingly, yes.

4. Chase Infiniti — Avant-Garde Siren Energy

Chase said “theme adherence” and then cranked it to 100. Sculptural, slightly surreal, and somehow still hot—this was giving gallery installation you want to flirt with. Not the safest look of the night, but easily one of the most interesting.

5. Sabine Getty — Aristocrat Goes Rogue

Sabine always understands the assignment, but this time she added a little menace. Ornate, renaissance-adjacent, and just undone enough to feel sexy instead of stuffy. It’s giving: old money, new problems, excellent lighting.

Honorable Mention: Heidi Klum — Never Afraid to Go Weird

Was it conventionally sexy? Debatable. Was it memorable? Absolutely. Heidi continues to treat fashion like a personal science experiment, and frankly, we need that energy in a sea of “hot but safe.” She may not win sexiest gown, but she wins most likely to haunt your group chat.

This year’s vibe was sheer fabrics, sculpted bodies, and just enough conceptual confusion to justify near-nudity as “art.” The real winners? The ones who balanced hot + weird + intentional—and made the rest feel like they were just wearing dresses instead of making statements.

As always, if it didn’t make you slightly uncomfortable and slightly obsessed… was it even Met Gala-worthy?
